Taking place in London, England, 1912, Professor Henry Higgins takes a young woman, Aliza Doolittle, from the slums and makes her into a young lady. He does this through speech;
he takes her to the Queens Ball, and the Ascot Races, where she passes as a young lady of good breeding.
